Verify your Paypal with Smart Money

Here in the Philippines, a verified Paypal account is needed to be able to withdraw Paypal funds to any Philippine bank account and even purchase from online sites. For Filipinos, especially those who work online, getting verified in PayPal is one of the most satisfying experiences they can have.

Getting a Smart Money Card will just cost you P120.00. If you don’t have one yet:

A. Activate Smart money

If you don't have a Smart Sim card, You can buy a new one(usually it costs Php30)
1) Text MONEY to 343.
2) Enter desired W-PIN (6-digits).
3) Re-enter W-PIN, press OK.
4) Choose ‘Get Account’ press OK
5) Select BDO
Wait for the text message confirming the transaction and displaying your SMART Money Card number.


B. Apply for a Smart Money MasterCard.

1) Fill up the Smart Money MasterCard Application Form.
2) Accomplish the form and click on the ‘Activate’ button.
3) Wait a call from a Smart representative for validation of your application. You will be asked to choose your preferred Smart Wireless Center for card pick up.
After 7 days, you will receive a text message from Smart informing you that your Smart Money MasterCard is ready for pick up at your preferred Smart Wireless Center.


C. Activate your Smart Money MasterCard
Call 15177 using your cell phone. After being connected, follow the voice prompts or simply do the following:

“Welcome to Smart 24-hour calling service.”

    • To continue in English, press 1.
    • For Smart Money products and services, press 2.
    • For Smart Money card application or activation, press 1.
    • To activate your personalized Smart Money card, press 2.
    • Enter your 16-digit card number and press the pound (#) key.

From here on, be patient and provide the information asked by the representative. Follow instructions very carefully.
If the process is successful, the representative should tell you that it takes 15 minutes before your card becomes ready for use.


D. Load your card
You need to load your card with at least Php200 via BDO for the Paypal Verification charge(Don't worry! it reimbursed to your PayPal account within 24 hours after you have successfully Verified). Also make sure that you have atleast Php30 airtime Cellphone Load for the Php2.50 charge per send.

   1) Proceed to a local BDO branch.
   2) Fill-up the orange form named Payment Slip.
   3) Queue as it should be.
   4) Submit the slip, money, and your card to the teller.

Confirm whether the money is already in your card

    1) Go to your Smart Money menu
    2) Choose Balance
    3) Select MySmartMoney
    4) Enter your W-PIN
    5) You will receive a text message notifying you of your available balance.






                                    Now you're ready to verify Paypal with Smart Money

    1) Go to Paypal and Log in to your Account
    2) Click Get Verified
    3) Supply your Smart Money Card information. Before you click the Add Card button, please ensure that you have unlocked your card already for internet transactions

                                             To unlock your Smart Money Card:
                                             a. In your cellphone, go to Smart Menu.
                                             b. Go to Smart Money.
                                             c. Choose Internet Transactions.
                                             d. Choose Unlock.
                                             e. Choose the name of the card that you want to unlock.
                                              f. Key in your 6 digit PIN.
                                             g. Wait for the text confirmation.
Remember you only have 15 minutes to do online transaction or else the card will be automatically locked again. Unlocking your card costs P2.50.

 
    3)  After supplying your Smart money card information, click Continue. In the next page, just click Continue. After that, $1 will be deducted from your Smart Money
 
    4)  Message will appear that Paypal Cannot Verify your Card. Now you need to unlock your Smart Money Card Again.

   5) Wait for the confirmation text of your transaction. You’ll receive a 4-digit code to your phone to verify your account.

   6)  Go to your profile, click Enter Expuse Number. A small window will pop-up. Enter the unique 4-digit code and click Confirm card.

   7) You will see a message saying that you have successfully verified your card. Congratulations! You now have a Verified Paypal Account. Paypal will add $1.95 to your Paypal Account as a reimbursement for the Verification process. This will take about 24 to 48 hours.
